What: Injury Prevention in the Off Season: panel discussion + Q&A

When: Monday December 6, 2021 | 7:00 PM

Where: Zoom (see bottom)

Description: Panelists: Earl Wenke - Physical Therapist (Human Performance Collective), Michael Parker, Coach (Parker Performance Training), Kelly Miller - Physical Therapist (Probility, VA Hospital)

We will review the results of our Injury History Survey (take it now!) and focus on common injuries caused by improper maintenance training in the off / pre-season, the importance of strength work to protect joints and bones, specific exercises to maintain muscle groups and joints through the repetitive motions of the 3 disciplines, and what we can do now to be able to handle in-season volume. We'll also touch upon ways to maintain health for those with Spring marathons and half marathons to be followed by a full triathlon season. This is also a great panel and discussion for beginner triathletes who want to succeed as they're getting into the sport without being sidelined by common aches and pains that can delay progress.

Expect a roughly 45-min panel discussion / presentation, followed by Q&A
