Please join us on Wednesday March 7th at 6:30pm at fitmi for a Fit Clinic with Jessica Bratus. Jessica Bratus is the owner/proprietor of fitmi! Michigan’s only dedicated bicycle fitting studio. Jessica will be leading a presentation/discussion all about bike fit!  With 7 industry-leading certifications and 13 years of professional experience, Jessica combines recognized and proven fit methodologies that allow the bicycle and body to come together in harmony. There is no substitute for experience, and technology should never dictate the process. Her process takes into account an athlete’s experience, asymmetries, injuries, strengths/weaknesses, and goals. These factors drive every bicycle adjustment and recommendation. For example, an athlete with a tight illiotibial (I.T.) band will require a different saddle height/leg extension and riding stance width for an optimized, successful bicycle configuration than an athlete with no history of I.T. band tightness.

Jessica began her career in bicycle fitting attending the FitKit certification with Richard Schwinn in 2005. She studied directly under Dr. Andy Pruitt and passed the highest level of bicycle fitting certification in 2010 culminating in a 4 hour exam with Dr. Pruitt as her proctor. She was invited to the 2012 Specialized-Lululemon team training camp, where she fit road and time trial bikes for 1/2 of the athletes including Ellen van Dijk and 2012 Olympian/National Time Trial Champion Evelyn Stevens. In 2017 she returned for a second round of triathlon-specific fit training with Dan Empfield of Slowtwitch’s Fit Institute. In the off-season, Jessica continues her pursuit of lifelong learning and attends bike fit education seminars to offer the very best in bike fit solutions for her clients.

Ann Arbor Triathlon Club members receive a $30 discount for the comprehensive Revolution Fitting (regularly $200), and a 10% discount on parts and accessories at the time of the fitting service.  Jessica’s service fee is already below the industry standard, competition's price of $250, a great value!
